* Louie texting: READY TO ROCK! three times wednesday.

* ZZ Top on radio on the way into town got me excited. i text louie "ZZ!" He thinks ZZ TOP is playing SXSW. i think they did last year. louie's bummed but says BLACK ROSE BAND show ruled it last night to a house full of punkers.

* en route to URINALS (!) show at beerland... whoo!

* AP piece w/Jay in it is great... but pronounces his name re-a-tard rather than RETARD or my prefferred new pronunciation, "REATAH" as in "JE' REATAH." I think this euro-centric accentuation will take him to the upper echelons of indieness.

* there are a lot of dry counties in arkansas/ east texas. maybe that's why it's the "west texas sound."

* crammed two cds into the cd player and rendered that useles. VINYL ONLY FROM HERE ON OUT!

* must remember to try to be nice to geeks w/badges. try!

* Ponys were great the other night... really great SOUND. I forgot what they sounded like, bringing own soundman=GREAT MOVE. "Tasty" reverb.
